Ian Brinkley is the founder and principal of The Brinkley Insurance Group. He started his insurance career in 2006 after graduating from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Ian achieved the Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) designation from the American College of Financial Services in 2010. He started The Brinkley Insurance Group in 2018, with the goal of providing the very best service for each and every client. Our clients are the lifeblood of the insurance industry; we strive to put our clients’ needs at the forefront. Our company slogan is “Working for You, Not an Insurance Company”, which means just that, we work for the client, not an insurance company.
Ian enjoys spending time with his wife, Emma, and their young sons, Liam and Cameron, outside the office. Ian and his family live near downtown Raleigh and spend their free time walking and exploring all the amazing benefits Raleigh has to offer. Ian grew up near Pittsburgh, PA, and is a huge fan of the Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates. He grew up playing hockey and played on the UNC Club Team. Before starting his family, Ian was an avid Triathlete, competing in several half- and full-Ironman races. With Hockey and Triathlon behind him, he cherishes being a father and spends as much time with his family as possible.
